Foam sword, spear, shield, dagger, and axe collection

Hi all! Since people seemed to enjoy the video review I made a while ago of the “Viking” sword, I wanted to give an overview of what foam weapons we’ve made or bought so far, which ones were good in sparring, and which ones we found impractical.

I recommend all of these weapons for unarmored sparring except for the Dark Link sword and the quarterstaff. I’m not a huge fan of the “fantasy” aesthetic, so I may be biased against the “orc axe”.

Here’s a list of the names of each and where we got it:

Battle Legends Valhalla Viking Sword Gen II (http://www.globalgear.com.au/foam-larp-swords/battle-legends-valhalla-viking-sword-gen-ii.html)

Battle Legends Pirate Cutlass Sword Gen II (http://www.globalgear.com.au/foam-larp-swords/battle-legends-pirate-cutlass-gen-ii.html)

Foam Shields – handmade

Battle Legends Orc Axe (http://www.globalgear.com.au/foam-larp-swords/battle-legends-orc-axe.html)

Foam Spears – handmade

“Training” Bo Staff – Can’t remember which website we bought it off, but it was fairly obscure. Most “training” bo staves seem to have a similar amount of foam padding as this, and I find it inadequate for informal contact sparring.

Foam Daggers – handmade
